Plot
The film begins with Kimberly Caldwell, a contestant on the reality show Ultimate Survivalist: The Apocalypse, driving through the West Virginia backwoods to the location of the show. She accidentally hits a teenager with her car, who turns out to be one of the cannibalistic mutants named Brother. She gets out of the car to check on him, but he attacks her and drags her into the woods. He then kills her by tearing her mouth apart.
The next day, the show's host, retired military commander Colonel Dale Murphy, introduces the six contestants: Nina Papas, a former marine; Jake Washington, an aspiring rapper; Amber Williams, a tomboyish vegan; Jonesy, a thrill-seeking skateboarder; Elena Garcia, a rich and spoiled Latina; and Michael "M" Epstein, a nerdy and sarcastic producer. They are given instructions to survive in the wilderness for six days while competing in various challenges. The winner will receive $100,000.
The contestants are paired up into three teams: Nina and Jake, Amber and Jonesy, and Elena and M. They are given backpacks with supplies and walkie-talkies. They set off into the woods, unaware that they are being watched by the mutants. The mutants consist of Brother, Sister, Ma, Pa, Three Finger, and Three Toes.
Nina and Jake find an old watchtower and decide to camp there for the night. They bond over their personal stories and develop an attraction for each other. Meanwhile, Amber and Jonesy stumble upon an abandoned gas station and explore it. They find a mutilated body in a freezer and realize that they are in danger. They try to contact Murphy, but their walkie-talkie is jammed by the mutants. They also find Kimberly's car and see her severed head on the dashboard.
Elena and M reach a barbed wire fence that marks the boundary of an old nuclear testing site. They decide to cut through it and take a shortcut. However, they trigger a trap set by the mutants and fall into a pit filled with spikes. Elena is impaled by several spikes and dies instantly. M manages to survive with minor injuries and crawls out of the pit. He is then chased by Pa and Three Toes.
Murphy notices that something is wrong when he can't reach any of the contestants on their walkie-talkies. He decides to go into the woods to look for them. He encounters Brother and Sister, who attack him with arrows. He fights back with his gun and kills Sister. He then follows Brother to their cabin and finds Kimberly's body hanging from a tree.
He enters the cabin and sees Ma cooking human flesh in a pot. He shoots her in the head and searches for more survivors. He finds Nina's backpack in one of the rooms and realizes that she is still alive. He also finds a radio that the mutants have been using to jam the signals.
He tries to contact Nina on her walkie-talkie, but he is attacked by Brother and Pa. He manages to kill Brother, but Pa overpowers him and stabs him in the chest. He then drags Murphy's body to the dining table, where he joins Ma, Three Finger, and Three Toes for a cannibal feast.
The next morning, Nina and Jake wake up and hear Murphy's voice on their walkie-talkie. They think that he is coming to rescue them, but they soon realize that it is a trap set by the mutants. They escape from the watchtower and run into the woods. They are pursued by Three Finger and Three Toes.
Amber and Jonesy also hear Murphy's voice on their walkie-talkie and decide to go to the cabin to meet him. They are unaware that he is already dead. They reach the cabin and see Murphy's body on the table. They are then attacked by Pa, who shoots Jonesy in the leg with an arrow. Amber fights back with a knife and stabs Pa in the eye. She then helps Jonesy escape from the cabin.
Nina and Jake reach a clearing where they find a truck. They try to start it, but they are ambushed by Three Finger and Three Toes. Jake distracts them while Nina gets in the truck. She runs over Three Toes and drives away with Jake. However, Three Finger jumps on the back of the truck and tries to kill them.
Amber and Jonesy also reach the clearing and see Nina and Jake in the truck. They try to get their attention, but they are too late. They are then surrounded by Pa, Ma, and Sister's baby, who has mutated features. Pa shoots Amber in the head with an arrow, killing her instantly. Jonesy tries to fight back, but he is overpowered by Ma and the baby.
Nina manages to shake off Three Finger from the truck and drives to the main road. She sees a sheriff's car and flags it down. She tells the sheriff that they need help and that there are cannibals in the woods. The sheriff agrees to help them and tells them to get in his car.
However, as they get in, they see M in the back seat, who has been captured by the mutants. He warns them that it is a trap and that the sheriff is one of them. The sheriff reveals that he is Pa's brother and that he has been helping them lure people into their territory for years. He then shoots M in the head, killing him.
Nina and Jake try to escape from the car, but they are locked in. The sheriff drives them back to the cabin, where Pa, Ma, Jonesy, and the baby are waiting for them. The film ends with Nina screaming as the mutants prepare to kill them.

More gore, more nudity, more colorful characters, and more tongue-in-cheek humor". Brian Orndorf of DVD Talk wrote: "Dead End is a funhouse of splatter and wicked laughs; a low-budget horror sequel that actually betters its predecessor in terms of quality and entertainment value".
However, some critics were less impressed by the film. David Nusair of Reel Film Reviews wrote: "Wrong Turn 2: Dead End ultimately comes off as an exceedingly pointless and downright interminable piece of work that's sure to leave even the most ardent horror fan feeling bored and annoyed".
